Wizarding Faire 2013

Original post @ The Misadventures of Shady Ami & Redd.
Okay, I admit it, I’m a total nerd for those pesky Griffindor kids.  For four out of the 7 books, I was spending many a sleepless night to get to the mall at an ungodly (before noon) hour to get my paws on the newest exploits from Harry and the gang.  I had pens with Harry Potter on them and I even named my first cat after one of the Professors in the series (Mcgonagall, if you are wondering, Maggie for short).

So I stepped into the Wizarding Faire expecting to see tons of lame.  Like primmy wands, hair and other things.  I even told Ami, “Yeah, I’m not going to spend much here.  Magic isn’t my thing.”
Just like in the Harry Potter Series, there was  a wall which collapsed and reassembled itself into an archway into Diagon Alley!
Look how cute this recreation is!!! There are shops named after items you’ll need if you were going to Hogwarts.
Let me just tell you that I ended up eating my chocolate flavored words.

Here, Ami is modeling off her new Stella hair from Wasabi Pills.  Out of all the vendors at this fair, there were only a handful of items that weren’t related to Harry in some way.

Here I am wearing the Khaleesi hair in red by Monso.  Both this hair and the Stella hairs would be perfect for role playing a princess or even wedding hair.

Another thing that was so sweet about this fair was that there were a few Slink items being offered.

I am not so sure on how to really get a decent picture of the nails on my hands, so I opted to take a shot of the whole set of Hopscotch nails.  Each grouping works with both hands and feet.  I got the silver and blue Ravenclaw nails.
These perfect witch shoes are by Koikoi.  They are called Witchipoo and the color is apple.  They come in two other colors, but I figured, if I were the bitchiest witch, I’d go for something with flash.

If you’re going to rock the wizard/witch look you can’t forget the familiars!  There were newts and owls, but I decided to go the same route as Dumbledore, with a phoenix:

Meet Fawkes, my phoenix.  She’s a little lamb who just tweets her little songs and looks adorable.  She was one of the main reasons why I went to the fair in the first place.  This is one of the many cute offerings from Mish Mish.

This Faire runs until tomorrow, so make sure you get your goodies before they disappear!

The Faire Goes On…

Original post @ Fantasy Faire 2014.
I’m sitting on the quarterdeck of the Fairechylde as I write this, moored at the top of Hope’s Horizon with an amazing view out over the Fairelands. And it’s quiet, so I can really crank up my draw distance and see everything the Grid will let me see. It is a sight both wondrous and […]

How do I find out more about the SL11B Community Celebration?
You can find out more by following the official blog, and by following on Facebook and Twitter.

There is also a Flickr page where you can paste your own images when the sims open. You make see some sneak images from the team before that so keep watching!
